WELL(Building Standard) a LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) are two of the most recognized certification systems for buildings that focus on sustainability, health and employee well-being. These certifications are designed to improve the quality of indoor and outdoor environments of buildings, with an emphasis on resource efficiency, reducing environmental impact and ensuring a healthy environment for employees.

WELL Certification

The WELL Building Standard is the first certification system focused exclusively on the health and well-being of people in buildings.

LEED Certificate

It is one of the most widely used building standards in the world. The collection of the criteria of this certification means optimizing every aspect of the building: from water consumption, energy efficiency, the value of materials to the quality of the internal environment.

NORDCITY Obchodná became the first building in Slovakia to receive the prestigious LEED Platinum v4 certification - the highest award for sustainability and energy efficiency of buildings.

Version v4 focuses on even greater efficiency and green solutions in areas such as:

  • Energy efficiency: Reducing energy consumption and using renewable resources.
  • Water savings: Modern technologies for efficient water management, including rainwater harvesting.
  • Quality of the indoor environment:Strict monitoring of air quality and natural lighting.
  • Sustainable building materials: Utilizing environmentally friendly materials with low environmental impact.

In the NORDCITY Obchodná 3D project, we regularly perform laboratory tests of water quality.

We monitor the content of dozens of substances to verify that tap water meets all applicable limits and is safe for direct consumption. This initiative promotes healthy hydration among building users while reducing the need for additional filtration or bottled water.

These measurements demonstrate that the indoor environment meets strict quality criteria, contributing to the health, comfort and focus of the building users.
